Jeremiah – “COME ON DOWN!!”

The world stage is set and all the prizes are just waiting for the "lucky" contestant to play the game and take home the loot. Who does God chose? The biggest loser. Read the Bible, Jeremiah was a miserable failure. He spoke, nobody listened, and he was poor and ruined. He got thrown into prison, tossed in a well, ignored by his neighbors, his family, his audience, and the authorities. Yep to the world, Jeremiah was a failure. But to God, Jeremiah was one of the most successful men in all of history.

Times were different back then though, that’s Old Testament Law and we live under Grace now right? Society was different right? It was a chaotic time politically, morally, economically and spiritually. Three kingdoms were locked in battle for world supremacy. And the people of Judah were caught in the middle of the fight.

The climate in Judah was one of economical, political, and spiritual deterioration. There were wars, and people were being taken hostage by evil regimes bent on world domination. The climate had gotten so bad in fact, that even the word of God (the Bible) was offensive to the leaders and the people of Judah. Yep, times have really changed haven’t they?

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, God declares, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams." (Acts 2:17 AMP)

So again I say, Jeremiah – "COME ON DOWN!" Let the weeping begin.
