World War III has begun – What’s next?

In 1857, the citizens and church in America would have never believed that in just over 3 years the country would be embroiled in Civil War. Over 625,000 fathers, sons, husbands and brothers would die in that war. Unthinkable, yes…. But it happened

The citizens and church of London in 1936 never dreamed that just over three years later over 40,000 of their friends, family and neighbors would be dead in the streets from Nazi bombs. Unfathomable, yes…. But it happened.

American citizens and the church missed the mark again in early 1938 when they failed to recognize the threat of the Japanese. In December 1941, almost 3000 Americans died while Japanese diplomats sat in the offices of the Secretary of State. Offering peace while dropping bombs and killing Americans at Pearl Harbor. Unimaginable, yes…. But it happened.

The loss of life continued through Korea, and Vietnam, war’s lost on far away soil. While security at home seemed in tact the anti-war machine exploited that security and the real enemy infiltrated the culture and lack of morality of the nation. Unavoidable, no… But it happened.

The fact is that at any given time, our nation and the world are a mere 3 ½ years away from the war that will forever alter the landscape of life on earth. And if history repeats itself, the citizens and the church will never see it coming.

Like the times of the Civil War, our nation remains split, not to the north or south, but to the right and left. At the end of World War I, a badly founded peace treaty was forced on the German people and resulted in the atrocities of World War II. A similar treaty is being forced on the people of Israel today. And just as the Germans under Hitler completely ignored the Treaty of Versailles, and sacked London. The radical Islamic nations will not honor any lasting peace agreement, and will ultimately attempt to destroy Israel.

Just like the days leading up to Pearl Harbor. Countries like Syria, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia are welcoming discussions with well-intentioned politicians led by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca). At the same time these countries provide financial, spiritual, and technological support to the radical Islamic terrorist in Iraq.

While Speaker Pelosi, and her bipartisan group trek through these countries on a "fact-finding" trip. Syria and Lebanon remain state sponsors of Terrorism, funded in large part by Iran. And have we forgotten that most of the hijackers on 911 were from Saudi Arabia. While both parties of congress cozy up for photo op's with the Islamic leaders. Radical Islamic insurgency, chlorine bombs, IED’s and kidnapping are ramped in Iraq. What message does this send to our enemies?

According to Brigitte Gabriel, author of Because They Hate A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America (St. Martin's Press, 2006). "Already, radio talk-show hosts in the Middle East and Arabic are making fun of our government," Gabriel notes, "saying that even the speaker of the House of the American government thinks that George Bush is stupid, and [that] they are here to represent the half of America who does not agree with the American aggression and wrongdoing in the Middle East." While Speaker Pelosi and her bipartisan group meet and greet with the likes of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and Syrian President Bashar Assad, Hamas has been sending hundreds of Gaza-based militants to Iran for prolonged periods of advanced training. In addition, smuggling of weaponry into Gaza from the neighboring Egyptian Sinai desert recently increased six-fold and Palestinian terror groups are taking advantage of the cease-fire to enhance rockets and create a complex system of underground bunkers.

In Lebanon, Christians are fleeing the country to avoid the rise of radical Islam. In a poll to be published next month, nearly half of all Maronites, the largest Christian denomination in the country said they were considering emigrating. Of these, more than 100,000 have submitted visa applications to foreign embassies, according to the poll. Their exodus could rob the country of an influential minority, which has acted as an important counterbalance to the forces of Islamic extremism. Click here to read the entire story

As the American congressional delegation rolls through out the Middle East, believing that there is an opportunity for dialogue and that somehow this dialogue will effect a change. They oppose the war in Iraq, preach peace and support of Israel as long as Israel continues on the path of the so-called "Roadmap for peace". Unfortunately, this is a roadmap to destruction.

In December 2005 under international pressure and a promise of peace, Israel began to evacuate settlements in Neve Dekalim, Bdolah, Morag, and Ganei Tal,Tel Katifa, Atzmona, Kerem Atzmona, Gan-Or, and Shalev. This was to be the first step in the so-called "Roadmap". The withdraw from Gaza was touted a great step forward in the peace process. Although the heart wrenching pictures from Neve Dekalim showed Israeli’s being evicted from the only homes they knew.

Neve Dekalim: A convoy of security forces entered Neve Dekalim to prepare for the evacuation. IDF Central Command Head Dan Harel entered the home of Gaza Beach Regional Council Head Avner Shimoni, followed by troops who entered the community and began the evacuation.

In the first house the soldiers entered, settlers began yelling at them in tears: "Why are you kicking us out of our home? How can you do this? Tell us why." Family members began breaking everything in the house in order not to leave anything intact.

Heartbreaking scenes took place at the synagogue where hundreds of men, women, and youngsters prayed in tears while attempting to smile and sing.

I remember praying for these people, and for the Palestinian’s that we were told would be moving into these settlements. The Palestinian’s would get homes, schools, and mosques. And Israel would get peace. Think Again!

Today there are no homes, schools, or Islamic places of worship in Neve Dekalim. The land that the people of Israel gave up for peace has been converted into an explosives and rocket test site for Hamas. The Synagogues where hundreds gathered to pray have been transformed into military bases used by Palestinian groups to fire rockets at Israeli cities and train for attacks against the Jewish State. So now the land that Israel traded for peace is being used to test weapons targeted at Israel.

What came of the cease-fire?

In November 2006, Israel agreed to suspend anti-terror operations in Gaza, in exchange for quiet. In December, Gazan terror leaders explained that they would use the truce to smuggle in weapons, increase the range of their rockets, construct underground bunkers, and fortify military positions. Thus allowing them to build, and support larger guerrilla armies. Their stated objective: "We are turning Gaza into south Lebanon," Abu Ahmed, northern Gaza leader for the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group told WND. "We learned from Hezbollah's victory that Israel can be defeated if we know how to hit them and if we are well prepared," Abu Ahmed said. "We are importing rockets and the knowledge to launch them and we are also making many plans for battle." Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas' so-called "military wing" told WND his group is preparing for war against Israel. Read the story dated Dec 26, 2006

Decision Time

If you do not believe in the truth of the bible, then the future events that effect the church and Israel may not mean much to you. If you have no interest in these truths then I will not be offended if you click away from this blog and enjoy your Easter holiday in what ever way brings you the most joy. It is not my intent to force my faith or opinion on you. At the same time, I will not attempt to compromise or alter the truth to retain a reader.

For the apostate, lukewarm, or backsliden believers, WAKE UP! You cannot live like Hell Monday through Saturday and be Holy on Sunday. Open your bibles and read. The Prophet Hosea wrote, "my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge, " (Hosea 4:6 NIV) Accept the authority of Jesus over your life, James wrote, "Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7 NIV) There are sixty six books in the bible, "All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV) Get away from the feel good, cotton candy theology, and feed your spirit. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches." (Revelations 3:22 NIV) "From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." (Matthew 4:17)

This is Holy Week, and while some will simply look forward to the Easter celebration on Sunday, we as believers, should be remembering what Jesus told the disciples on the Mount of Olives, "On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." (Luke 22:40 NIV) Overcome by exhaustion and sorrow, the disciples fell asleep.

Unfortunately many within the church today have done the same. Many have become insensitive to or unprepared for Christ’s work. Not I, but Jesus has this advise to you, "Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation." (Luke 22:46)

What’s Next?

If you haven’t noticed in this posting, clearly the past will repeat itself. The enemies of Christianity and Judaism will not honor their agreements with people of Judeo-Christian beliefs, but they will make every effort to deliver on their threats. Therefore, there is no reason to believe that any concessions made by Israel will render lasting results. And all threats and intelligence gathered relating to terror planning should be taken seriously, and preventative action should be taken.

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, or the Son, but only the Father." (Matthew 24:36 NIV)

It is impossible to predict what or when the next major event to shake the foundations of the world will be. But we are instructed to remain watchful.

Happy Easter!

Wow. At first I thought you were trying to be funny, but then it struck me that you actually believe this. The fact that you, and others like yourself, actually think you are right scares me.

I was fortunate enough to interview Brigette G. on my little radio show. She's fantastic, her book is well written if not scary, and she has a lot to say. More pople should listen to her, she is the voice of experience.
